Designing Disney

$12.28

Designing Disney sets into history and puts into context the extraordinary contributions of the late John Hench, who, at the age of 94, still came into his office at Imagineering each day.  His principles of theme park design, character design, and use of color made him a legendary figure, not only for Disney fans but also for students and aficionados of architecture, engineering, and design.            Designing Disney reveals the magic behind John’s great discoveries and documents his groundbreaking in several key areas: “Design Philosophy” examines the values, attitudes, aesthetics, and logic that went into the original concepts for Disney theme parks. In “The Art of the Show” and “The Art of Color,” Hench reveals the essence of what makes the parks work so well. And in “The Art of Character,” he lets the reader in on the how and why of the Disney characters’ inherent popularity-their timeless human traits, archetypal shape and gestures that suggest these qualities graphically, and their emotional resonance in our lives. >>Read More

The Official Album: Disneyland/Walt Disney World

$84.95

Though it’s neither as comprehensive nor as elegantly presented as The Music of Disney: A Legacy in Song, this compilation is an enjoyable sampler of music from Disneyland and Walt Disney World. Naturally, the music’s good for reliving memories of the parks, but when listened to at home, the best selections reveal previously unnoticed complexity. The oldest recordings, like “The Tiki Tiki Room” and “Grim Grinning Ghosts” (from the Haunted Mansion ride), are seamless show tunes that grapple inventively with the limitations of analog and mono. And the Main Street Electrical Parade theme song is a freaked-out Moog marathon that must be heard to be believed. This disc offers one of the best uses yet for your CD player’s “program” function–pick out the songs like you’d pick out a ride, and never wait in line! –John Sanchez >>Read More

there are holograms like that, but they are farther down, they dont appear on that window/balcony bit. All the holograms you see while on the first floor are projections from a 3-D screen, and the ones at the top floor are just glass figures with light passed through them. Theres one of a girl at the bottom floor when you fall, but at the bottom floor. most likely that last ghost is, *gulp*, REALLLLLL!!!!!!!!

Actually, in my work as security and fire watch during fireworks displays, you actually will have people on roofs close to the fireworks. They are there to make sure any roof structures don’t catch on fire. His “camouflage” is probably part flame resistant safety suit.

If the reflection looks like a ghost and you think its just an employee, how was he able to walk on water then?! I just debunked the debunker!

  9. KobraKhi

    26. Oct, 2009

a real person, they would have to be 10 FUCKING feet tall in order to appear that large from such a long distance away. And there is no logical reason that a person would be up there during a show, it is a safety hazard to be that high during the fireworks display, there is no role for that person to be in that position to begin with, as they are not part of anything. Fifth video is just a reflection. Sixth video is part of the ride. Score, apparitions 4, wannabe debunkmotherfucker, 2.

This guy is a moron, who knows nothing. First video: the apparition walks right through a metal gate. Can I real person do that? No. Second video: there is no way a person walking DOWN a tunnel can produce a reflection walking in 2 opposite directions, then STOP AND SIT! Third video: The apparition does not MATCH the old man at all. It has a smaller head, YOU CAN SEE IT’S FOREHEAD, has no stash, glasses, HAS ON A WHITE SHIRT, WITH NO JACKET, no CLIPBOARD!. Fourth video: If that was

There you have it ghost believers… This guy exposes the truth about ghosts showing themselves.

There may be ghosts out there, but I truly don’t believe they can show themselves to people unless they are dying.

    26. Oct, 2009

this is stupid. this guy thinks he knows everything. There have been over 50 deaths at disneyland. 49 of them are the guest’s fault. So odds are that there are ghosts at Disneyland.

You would be surprised at how easy it is to fall on ghosts as an explanation. We are preprogrammed to make extreme judgements when faced with impossible effects. When the facts are absent or hidden we make huge assumptions. Do a google on Paredoilia photos and explained ghosts. People have taken photos outside in the dark and been gobsmacked when confronted with a strange fog that wasnt there on the night of the photo. They dont realise until told, that it is the flash lighting their breath.

@perbhg Ghost adventures really? That’s like the most staged show ever. I don’t necessarily believe in ghost but just calling light reflections on everything to debunk it is kinda foolish. The first ToT the first image obviously doesn’t have a hat nor mustache. Might be a holo.g but its def not a reflection. Camo theory..seriously?. If there gonna give someone camo for firework show don’t you think it would work best while the fireworks are going off? Last one either a holo.g or a .. a..ghost.

  21. sowhat422

    26. Oct, 2009

i think at 3:50 that probobly not a ghost but if u realy look at it it looks kinda like it has glasses and like a mustach and stuff

  22. perbhg

    26. Oct, 2009

The space mtn and first anomalies are obviously light reflections and the fireworks is an employee. I didn’t even see the man in the rock. The second tot Is sposd to do that and I’m not sure about the first tot. I think it’s just like posd to do that or the camera is reflecting someone watching the test or it’s just a ghost lol. No, ghosts don’t have features like that. Trust me I watch ghost adventures:)

the tot has holograms that supposed to happen
