What is the best way to get from Santa Ana airport to Disneyland?

Is there a free shuttle service? A bus service? How much would a taxi be? We are staying at the Disneyland Hotel so we need to get to the front entrance of Disneyland.

TM’s right. The Disneyland Express bus is the best way to go. I guess you could take an OCTA bus if you wanted to waste 2-3 hours, but the DE bus is the way to go.
And if you’re going to the Disneyland Hotel, your final destination is not the front entrance to Disneyland. The Disneyland Express bus will take you right to the Disneyland Hotel. Hiking there from the front entrance would be a real pain, since it’s at least half a mile.
BTW, taxi fare from SNA to Disneyland is about $50.

There are NO free shuttle buses to the Disneyland Hotel as far as I know.
Taxi’s are pretty expensive in the range of $45 to $50 not including a tip. Also the fare would be somewhat dependent on the time of day because if you hit a busy freeway you pay for time as well as distance. However because there are carpool lanes almost all the way to Disney it usually is under $50. If you have a party of 4 people a taxi is well worth its price in terms of convenience and service – assuming a cost breakdown of about $12.50 per person.
The best known shuttle that I know of is the Super Shuttle (it’s blue and gold) and costs about $10/person as long as you are going to the Disneyland Hotel or any of the Anaheim / Disney hotels. The fare may be slightly higher now but that’s what I paid 4 months ago. There are also several other shuttle buses that are probably just as good but less well known.
Taxi’s and shuttle services will drop you off at the check-in desk of the Disneyland Hotel so no problems there. The Disneyland Hotel is actually outside of the park, but very close to the park and Downtown Disney.
There is a secondary entrance from the Disneyland Hotel to the park and is right outside of the hotel. Unless you need to go into the main entrance it’s a short hike of about 5-6 blocks or more to get there. Tickets are available at the Disneyland Hotel entrance to the park (which is really a monorail ride to the park).
