Kiddie Birthday Party 101
Posted on 16. Jan, 2010 by Donald Duck in Princesses
You walk into a room filled with colorful decorations such as balloons, candles, and flowers. You see clowns preparing their jokes and magicians doing their tricks. Cakes and candies are all over the place. And what’s more? You see beautiful and handsome kids in their best princess-like dresses and knight-like suits. You’re definitely attending one of the most enjoyable parties in the block — children’s birthday parties.
Why do I say this? It is because children’s birthday parties are always filled with games and other surprises. The best types of games to play with groups of kids at parties are parlor games, not only because they are easy to prepare, but because they are safe and fun for the little ones. A trip to Jerusalem, Newspaper Dance, Tomato Dance, and Apple Eating Contest are just some of the common games which will surely keep the kids’ excitement in high level.
Choose from pink, orange, green, or blue motifs; the venue of the party should be decorated with streamers in vibrant colors because it is one of the factors which will make the party stylish. The chairs and tables which are also in kids size, should also be a part of your preparations. To make it even more alluring to the young girl’s and boy’s eyes; toys and a mini playground should never be missed out. Having these things is one good way to prevent them from being bored when all the activities are done.
Because kids love to eat sweet things, ice cream, chocolates, and most especially cake should never be absent in the menu. It is advisable that birthday cakes are to be designed with cartoon characters such as Batman, Spiderman, and Superman for boys; or Hello Kitty or Disney Princesses for the young girls. Hot dogs on sticks and finger foods such as peanuts and marshmallows are also a favorite of the kids and parents as well.
To make it an all out kiddie party, why not have a general theme? Most parties are themed according to the celebrant’s favorite hero. So don’t forget to make sure to note it in your invitation letters.
Do you still feel like there is still something missing? Freebies! Since most kids love to bring home something; it is best to provide them a goodie bag of freebies. It may be colorful bracelets, brownies or party favors. It may even be candy again, because they definitely would love it.
When you’ve done everything right, the little angels in your party will surely be laughing their hearts out. They will go home with a contented tummy, a happy heart, and a face with all smiles. And without any doubt, everyone will remember your birthday party as the blast-of-fun party of the year.
